Didactics - Eastern Piedmont University Training Pole

The Corporate Public Hospital of Alessandria has undertaken a joint synergistic path in collaboration with the Eastern Piedmont University (UPO) for the development of educational-related activities: today it is campus for the Bachelor of Medicine, Nursing and Physiotherapy, with faculty located at the Borsalino Hospital. 

The Decree of the Ministries of Education, Universities, Research and Health No. 524 of 06/28/2018 for the 2018/19 academic year allocated 145 places to the University of Eastern Piedmont for enrollment in the single-cycle Bachelor of Science in Medicine and Surgery degree program, and made it possible to start the second educational campus in Alessandria in addition to the one already existing in Novara, with 50 places.                        
Following Resolution No. 419 of 4.9.19, a framework agreement was signed with the University of Eastern Piedmont for the performance of academic, scientific and welfare activities of the School of Medicine. As of March 2021, students enrolled in the 3rd year of the Bachelor of Medicine degree program at the Alessandria campus have thus begun their internship at the healthcare facilities of the Hospital and in October 2021, the internship of students enrolled in the 4th year was then activated.            
The Corporate Public Hospital of Alessandria also hosts about 70 medical residents, thanks to collaborations with various Specialty Academies, governed by specific agreements.
