Scientific Committee for Research and Innovation
The Scientific Committee supports the Corporate Public Hospital of Alessandria's General Management in research and innovation projects, in relation to the content, relevance, local interest, and consistency, both as individual projects as well as on the whole, in order to verify their compliance with corporate objectives. The Scientific Committee also promotes technological and clinical- organizational innovation projects, to be conducted in synergy with ASL AL and the University of Eastern Piedmont.
The Scientific Committee for Research and Innovation is appointed by Corporate Public Hospital of Alessandria's General Director, after consultation with the Dean of the Eastern Piedmont University.
The general principles to which the activity of the Scientific Committee for Research and Innovation refers to are:
- integrity of research;
- full autonomy, independence and transparency;
- impartial judgment and institutional authority.
The current members of the Committee were appointed in 2021, by resolution No. 194 of March 29, (period 2021-2023) and is composed as follows:

- Dr. Paolo Tofanini, chairman of the Inter-company Ethics Committee

- Dr. Antonello Santoro, Chair of the Order of Surgeons and Dentists of the Province of Alessandria
