Training and Higher Education

The Corporate Public Hospital of Alessandria considers training and upgrading to be a strategic element as they represent:

  • for the Company an instrument for the development and empowerment of its staff aimed at promoting the technical, organizational and relational skills necessary to ensure the continuous quality improvement of health care services and the development of innovations
  • for Professionals the resource to pursue their professional and personal development according to their role and corporate obligations
  • for the Community a great opportunity for cultural development that, through its synergy with the University and integration with the Local Health Authority, accompanies the Hospital on its path to recognition as an Institute for Hospitalization and Scientific Care (IRCCS).

The company's training programs are developed in accordance with the national and regional objectives legislated for the acquisition of the levels of competence required by the Continuing Professional Development (CPD's) System.
Training in our context is called to support the development of several skills:

  1. technical-specialist skills
  2. relational (or process) communication skills
  3. organizational-managerial (or system) skills.

Since 2012, the AO of Alessandria has been a Regional CPD Provider with ID 152, in standard accreditation with the Piedmont Region: all courses for operators are therefore available on the regional platform www.formazionesanitapiemonte.it

Training in the areas of research and technological progress is a strategic development factor, especially in areas with a high level of knowledge renewal such as clinical research. Investment in the staff training and research area has made it possible to consolidate relationships with other Hospital Corporations and research institutions, develop research activities, and increase the visibility of the same in national and international settings.

Higher education programs help to define new paths that can result in broadening the skills of professional roles. Worthy of particular note is the LEVEL I MASTER'S PROGRAM IN "DATA MANAGEMENT AND COORDINATION OF CLINICAL TRIALS," whose objective is to provide knowledge and skills necessary for planning and conducting clinical trials, data collection, statistical analysis and presentation of results to professionals who play a key role in the field of clinical research, which are Data Manager/Clinical Study Coordinator, Clinical Research Associate (CRA) and Research Nurses.
