The Biomedical Library
Documentation is a strategic function within each Corporate Public Hospital. The Biomedical Library - The Documentation Centre collects, evaluates, organises and makes available to healthcare professionals such literature, the main information sources and documents that are necessary for training, updates and scientific research, through a close synergy with the BVS-P, as well as through the channels of ACNP. More specifically, but not limited to, research support activities such as bibliographic searches (referencing and specific string construction), the monitoring of bibliometric indicators, the document delivery service and staff training.
The Corporate Public Hospital has also launched through the Documentation Center - Biomedical Library an extensive project to protect its historical heritage, with the aim of capitalizing on tradition to develop clinical and healthcare innovation. This promotion is developed through the organization of exhibitions and events, in collaboration with external public and private partners, aimed at promoting awareness not only among corporate professionals but also within the general public.
